Street Style: Inspired by Clueless

The 1995 movie was and still is a big influence in fashion. Today I was about to change my doll's clothes and I wanted to wear this tartan skirt but wasn't sure how to style it. Suddenly it came to my mind the outfit baby_lush11 submitted as a part of her last task in FM-Style Cycle 9. It was an outfit representing 90s fashion an inspired by the movie Clueless. I thought I could use the same inspiration for styling my skirt and ended with an outfit I quite like.

So instead of doing my habitual Street Style post I thought it would be more interesting to share it with a compilation of outfits inspired by the famous movie.

Seen on FM-Style: Cycle 9 Recap

Four days ago Cycle 9 on our club, FM-Style, ended. It was the strongest cycle we've had so far with amazing stylists competing. While the competition was still on course the blog was closed, but now that we've come back I feel it's a must to share some of the best outfits we have seen throughout the cycle.

This is my personal selection of favourite outfits. I have not had in mind if the outfit was adequate for the task or the critics of the judges, I'm just sharing amazing outfits submitted by the contestants. Enjoy!

Store Statement: Subcouture

Subcouture came out on Friday. The collection is nice, but anything surprising I must say. There are some nice items, and all the pieces are inspired by designer clothes. See how the store looks like:

Personally, I only bought some accesories. I think they are nice pieces of clothing too, but not nice enough for me to buy. Here are my top choices:

However, other Stardoll members have liked the clothing, and I want to share with you some outfits I've seen around using at least 1 item from Subcouture. You can get inspired by them and see how to use some items that maybe you didn't like at first. All credit goes to them, I'm just the "photographer".

I know that is easy to create a nice all in black outfit, but creating such an elegant and glamourous outfit as that one is not that easy. Please, look at how much layers baby_lush11 has used to created this. I counted at least 6!  It's amazing! I love how the necklace catches all the attention and all those feathers and transparencies. I think I would have liked it even more with another shoes but, oh wait! If I had those Celine inspired sandals I would probably always wear them too.
