Style Wars: Floral Print Midi Skirt

Here we are again, with the second battle going on in the Stylish Stardoll Sisters, and we have a lot of soldiers today, haven't we? How do you feel about this big battle, Judith? Will it be more difficult to choose a winner? Or easier? Do you think you have a favorite before starting? In fact, before you answer all of this questions I'm asking you, let me say... YOU START this time! 

That's fine Mireia! You know I don't have a problem with talking or writing in this case. So, my first thought was that obviously this decision would be more difficult since we have more outfits to choose from, but with a closer look I already see my decision clear. 

If we pay attention to the shapes there's only one outfit that stands out from the rest, AudreyHepburn.'s. GossipGirlSBC and jjgangstevenjj look a little bit similar for the big coats on top of the shoulders and Lulluplix and oayes also look similar for the simplicity of the layering. AudreyHepburn.'s though uses layering without having a big coat on, so it's definitely the most different one.

If we focus on the colours it's also the most original. That use of red makes heads turn! And don't even get me started on that super cool belt which seems to be made for that fur best.

I also like a lot though the combination of colours in jjgangstevenjj outfit. She used the green of the skirt in the bag and the red in the shoes and looks lovely. And also the accessorizing in Lulluplix's one is AMAZING. That necklace she made... And the red key chain on the bag! So yes, if I have to pick one I would definitely go for AudreyHepburn.'s but jjgangstevenjj's and Lulluplix's are so good that deserve a mention. 

I feel like I have been talking forever... Sorry Mireia, your turn, what do you think? I actually thought this was gonna be more complicated... Here I go! 

At first sight I thought it was going to be difficult, but as you pointed out, I think AudreyHepburn.'s outfit stands out so much! Is super glamorous and fashionable at the same time. The thing is that usually I don't like when you put together different prints or like extravagant pieces together, but I don't know how this stylish finnish guy does it that I'm so in love with all his detailed outfits. I have to agree, AudreyHepburn. is clearly the winner on this battle, so let's give him a round of applause!! 

However, luckily we don't have to agree in all our decisions, cause I'm not a fan of that mix of colors you seem to enjoy so much on jjgangstevenjj. I do love Lulluplix outfit, and she's the only one that has added some white to the mix, as the rest of them have gone for brown-red-green tones, and white for me is always good. 

So... without further ado... Do you wanna do the honors Judith?

Splendorous: Favourite Tress Up's Picks

Hi everyone! Some time ago Tress Up released a new collection with a lot of nice hairstyles based on the Stardesign creations of some talented dolls. I wanted to do this post for quite a while but it took me longer than expected getting the right outfits for this. The thing is that even if most of the time we give more importance to the outfit and keep the same hairstyle, a good hair can make an outfit stand out more so it's always important to have our beautiful manes in mind. Bellow I present you my three favourite new Tress Up hairstyles and some outfits I've found that are definitely perfect for them.

 

MUNCHKIN_XD Hairstyle

Definitely the biggest success in sales out of all the new hairstyles if you ask me. While I was looking for all these outfits I found loads with this one, I even had to eliminate some as I couldn't share them all. Not that we didn't know about the incredibly talented MUNCHKIN_XD cause we have already featured some of her wigs here, in the blog. Anyway, this hairstyle is perfectly made in terms of quality, looks good in any colour, is very fashionable and trendy and it's shape is perfect as leaves free and uncovered space for the outfit.
ADVANTAGES: Instant trendiness to the outfit + no parts of the outfit hidden.
DISADVANTAGES: Leaves neck and ears completely uncovered so you might want to start to think about jewelry (although this might be and advantage for jewels lovers...).

Evanedas Hairstyle

I don't have official numbers, I'm saying this based on my personal research experience, but I would say that this one is the second most saled. I think it's really versatile cause it can look very glamorous but at the same time it looks a little bit messy, not too well combed so it can work for both smart and casual looks. The only problem I have with this one is the lighter shade it has on the front. It looks really good with some hair colours but a little awkward with others, in my opinion. I do think that the original is still worth it even with the Tress Up version on sale as it combines black, brown and blonde shades in a unique way, thing that you can't achieve with the one available at Starplaza.

Aniratac15 Hairstyle

This is the one I have bought for now (my sister and I are still debating about who buys the first hairstyle and I do want as well DeSerekFifoxx hairstyle). If I had to put a name to Aniratac15's hairstyle I would call it the Instagram hair. It's the kind of hair that would be all over Tumblr and Instagram, long, messy in a sexy way, straight but with a cute waviness that adds volume and with nice highlights. I do have to say that those highlights look better in some colours than in others though but it never looks too bad.
ADVANTAGES: Casual model off duty vibe.
DISADVANTAGES: Quite bulky on the top part (say bye bye to hats).
LOOKS (in order of appearance): LadyMavii, Lulluplix, xCookie, SarahVIP

Store Statement: Pearls

What is happening in the Stardoll World? So many time with no new stores and now they are adding all this little new themed ones. First it was sportswear (click here for the store statement), then it was clothes for travellers (click here for the store statement) and now this store for preppy rich people.

I'm personally not a fan of this new store, I don't like the clothes too much. There are some things I could buy, but I don't feel the need of getting them. These are my favorite pieces:

For me, as a first impression, this store is for a back to school look. I put together some very classic items for using as a uniform. Doesn't it remind you of someone? I'm talking about Blair Waldorf. This store is like all outfits that Blair from Gossip Girl could have worn and then the outfit for men that there is on the store would be the one for Chuck Bass.

Is this the longest Store Statement ever? I don't know, but I'm not finished yet. I've been surfing around Stardoll thinking that I wouldn't find anyone wearing any pieces as I'm super early for this Store Statement (this post is scheduled), but... surprise!
