Splendorous: Affordable Make Up (II)

If you remember, last month year I did a post about Affordable Make Up, consisting in buying the minimum amount of make up to create different looks spending the less amount of Stardollars possible.

First, you will need to prep your face. I won't copy/paste the things I said, I will just give you the link to the previous part: Affordable Make Up (I)

Okay, and once you have your face contoured and highlighted, with long lashes and fuller brows... Let's start!

Neutral, brown tones
This look consists on a natural make up, but something evident. Meaning that you can notice you're wearing make up. It can go with more sophisticated looks for the day. I will do that with brown tones.

You will need:

- Eyes
This time the eyeshadow must be noticeable. We start with a mid brown (a little darker if your doll has darker skin) adding it from the middle of the eye to the end and putting it above the crease, with only one layer. I'm using Dot Milk Chocolate Eyeshadow. Then with the same shadow we apply multiple layers only on the lid, the closest we can add it to the lash line. Next step is adding some glow to the inner corner, so we use the same white shadow we used on the first part (Dot Royal White Eyeshadow) just on the inner corner.

We are using some eyeliner this time as well. And what's more necessary than a black liquid eyeliner for creating a perfect wing? Nothing, let me tell you. It improves ANY make up look. I'm using the Dot Black Madness Eyeliner to create a thin wing. To do that I start from the wing, clicking on the upper part and slowly going down until it draws the line on my doll. Then I elongate it until the mid lid. And finally, the last step for the eyes: a little bit of white on the bottom part of the eye, to illuminate the look. We can use the same white eye pencil as on the first part (Dot Royal White Eyepencil).

- Lips
Again, we can use one of the free lipstick that the Beauty Parlor provides us for this look. Beauty Parlor > Face & Body > Mouth. Instead of going for nude lips, this time we will add a little tan shade on the lips. The best one to do that is the second one starting on the right.

Bold, red lips
The one for the night. Obviously you can wear it for the day as well (check my Splendorous post about red lips clicking here), there are a lot of different options when we're talking about make up. The thing is that here, the lips are the center of attention, in a dark colour for being very visible during the night.

The things you need are:

- Eyes
As the lips are the feature that is going to be very bright, we will do just some shadowing on the eyes. We can use the same Dot Milk Chocolate Eyeshadow that we used on the previous look on the corner of the eyes to add some deepness and then just add a little white eyeliner (Dot Royal White Eyepencil) on the inner corner. To top it all off, lots of mascara to elongate the upper lashes and using it on the bottom lashes as well, using the same mascara we used to prep the face (Dot Black Madness Mascara). If you own fake eyelashes you could add them as well, to give more power to the look.

- Lips
The only trick for the lips is to go full red. Just visit the Starplaza and choose the red shade you like most. My advice? Don't go for a very bright one or for a very dark one, cause eventually you will get tired of it. Instead, choose for a mid-red, powerful but nice. My favorite is Dot Red Velvet Lipstick.

And that will be all! This is in my opinion, the BASIC MAKE UP PACK you should have in your Beauty Parlors, or something similar. In total, only 49 SD !

Splendorous: Affordable Make Up (I)

Hello everyone!

I realised that I haven't done any Splendorous posts on the blog for a while, and as I'm the beauty guru from the Stylish Stardoll Sisters (not a lot of choices right?), it's my duty to continue carrying on with the "tradition" of at least one Splendorous post every month.

While I was thinking about what to do for this post, I realised that creating make up tutorials require a lot of items. So, I thought of doing the total opposite: less make up. What does that mean? Taking advantage of some features of the Beauty Parlor and some necessary items from Dot (the less expensive brand for make up on Stardoll). You're interested? Keep reading! :)

Prep your face !
These steps are the ones that you need to do first. Then we will continue on from here on the next make up looks.

1. Contouring
You just need a brownish blush that is darker than your skin tone. I'm using Dot Deep Tan Blush.  Drag it from the corner of the mouth to the ear, and there you have it!

2. Highlighting
Go to the Beauty Parlor > Face & Body > Face. On the bottom part right, choose a shade that is lighter than your skin tone. I'm dragging the white shade to an approximate 60%. Your cheekbones are now highlighted.

3. Fill your brows
This step is in case you want to make your eyebrows look fuller, but I know there's people that prefer discrete eyebrows. You will need the Dot Black Madness Eyebrow Pencil. Why I'm using black? Because it doesn't matter which colour you want your brows. We're just filling them. We will need to complete this step going to the Beauty Parlor > Face & Body > Eyebrows.
So, when you have your brows filled in with the black eyebrow pencil, choose the colour you want and put the bar very close to the 10%. You will see that now your brows are the chosen colour but fuller and just for 2 SD. The thing is that there aren't too many eyebrow pencils to choose from on Dot, so we need to do this to have our desired shade. I like mine black by the way, but not too much. I put it around 25%.

4. Eyelash extensions
We will create an eyelash extension effect to start with. To do that, you just need the Dot Black Madness Mascara. Use it ONLY on the upper lashes and voilĂ .

Natural, no-make up effect
This one is the easiest and the one that will go with your casual outfits. It's based on your colour skin.

You just need:

- Eyeshadow
We will need 3 things. First, a nude eyeshadow tone that goes well and barely visible with our skin tone. I'm using Dot Powder Pink Eyeshadow , applying it from the middle of the eye to the end, to give some deepness. Second, white eyeshadow for the inner corner, Dot Royal Shadow. Finally, Dot Royal White Eyepencil, to complete the white eyeshadow, but on the bottom part of the eye.

- Lipstick
We need a nude lipstick. But you don't even need to buy one. Just go to the Beauty Parlor > Face & Body > Mouth. There, you can choose the nude color that goes better with your skin. I'm using the third one starting from the right.

As this post is going on for too long, I've decided to divide it in two parts. There will be 2 more looks on Part II. For now, we've spent 31 SD, but in very useful and basic make up that is useful for a lot of other things. You'll see how we continue using the same things for the next part.

See you soon!

Splendorous: Millennial Make Up

Hello everyone and welcome to one of my favorite sections of the blog: Splendorous!
Today I dressed my doll in this shade of pink that all Millennials like, and I decided to create a coordinating make up look. I loved the final result so I decided to record it for you to see how I did it in case you want to do it on your dolls.

Are you a Millennial? Then you must love this pink colour and so, this look I'm going to show you. This is the final look:

* I may have forgot to add on the video some white eyeshadow on the inner corner, consider it as an optional step.

Splendorous: Freckles & Beauty Marks

Hello my splendid readers! As we have mentioned a lot of times, our blog is mainly fashion related, but we are also beauty lovers, so here I am with a Beauty related post. Will try to have one of those at least once a month.

This time, I'm here to talk about beauty marks. I've been wanting to share this with your for a long time, since I changed my doll's hair and added this little beauty marks. At first it started as a joke, because I placed them in the same spots as my sister Judith has in real life. But I loved it, so I kept them. This is how my doll looks, and I'm sharing it here, cause I don't know if you can appreciate those little details when I post outfits.

Then, I decided to search for celebrities, influencers, models... all with some beauty marks or freckles, to share with you how beautiful they look and how they can add a little personality to your persona.

And finally, if you didn't have enough inspiration, let me share with you as well how a lot of stardollians have included freckles or beauty marks or both into their dolls and how gorgeous they look!

Hope you enjoyed the post! :)

Splendorous: Favourite Tress Up's Picks

Hi everyone! Some time ago Tress Up released a new collection with a lot of nice hairstyles based on the Stardesign creations of some talented dolls. I wanted to do this post for quite a while but it took me longer than expected getting the right outfits for this. The thing is that even if most of the time we give more importance to the outfit and keep the same hairstyle, a good hair can make an outfit stand out more so it's always important to have our beautiful manes in mind. Bellow I present you my three favourite new Tress Up hairstyles and some outfits I've found that are definitely perfect for them.

MUNCHKIN_XD Hairstyle
Definitely the biggest success in sales out of all the new hairstyles if you ask me. While I was looking for all these outfits I found loads with this one, I even had to eliminate some as I couldn't share them all. Not that we didn't know about the incredibly talented MUNCHKIN_XD cause we have already featured some of her wigs here, in the blog. Anyway, this hairstyle is perfectly made in terms of quality, looks good in any colour, is very fashionable and trendy and it's shape is perfect as leaves free and uncovered space for the outfit.
ADVANTAGES: Instant trendiness to the outfit + no parts of the outfit hidden.
DISADVANTAGES: Leaves neck and ears completely uncovered so you might want to start to think about jewelry (although this might be and advantage for jewels lovers...).
LOOKS (in order of appearance): hippchick2011, Mikatsi, TAYLOR029, Balenciaga.

Evanedas Hairstyle
I don't have official numbers, I'm saying this based on my personal research experience, but I would say that this one is the second most saled. I think it's really versatile cause it can look very glamorous but at the same time it looks a little bit messy, not too well combed so it can work for both smart and casual looks. The only problem I have with this one is the lighter shade it has on the front. It looks really good with some hair colours but a little awkward with others, in my opinion. I do think that the original is still worth it even with the Tress Up version on sale as it combines black, brown and blonde shades in a unique way, thing that you can't achieve with the one available at Starplaza.

Wig by evanedas on kiarily.

ADVANTAGES: Versatility.
DISADVANTAGES: Careful with the light parts!
LOOKS (in order of appearance): bey22304, Arany.Cica, gkmktk, MissdollyTiara

Aniratac15 Hairstyle
This is the one I have bought for now (my sister and I are still debating about who buys the first hairstyle and I do want as well DeSerekFifoxx hairstyle). If I had to put a name to Aniratac15's hairstyle I would call it the Instagram hair. It's the kind of hair that would be all over Tumblr and Instagram, long, messy in a sexy way, straight but with a cute waviness that adds volume and with nice highlights. I do have to say that those highlights look better in some colours than in others though but it never looks too bad.
ADVANTAGES: Casual model off duty vibe.
DISADVANTAGES: Quite bulky on the top part (say bye bye to hats).
LOOKS (in order of appearance): LadyMavii, Lulluplix, xCookie, SarahVIP

Finally, in case I haven't featured YOUR favourite hairstyle, here I leave you a few more outfits with others of the new hairs that of course are as well on point! ;)

In order of appearance: fearstar, Marta-43, savas.lt

Splendorous: Kylie Lip Kit Swatches

Hello, hello! Here am I again with another of my Splendorous posts. Since I'm becoming such an addict for real life make-up, it looks like the addiction is arriving to my stardoll doll as well. Lately I've been super obsessed with the new products Kylie is launching on her own brand: Kylie Cosmetics. I absolutely love everything! Since I don't feel like spending those big amounts of money and what bothers me most, the 15$ they charge for delivery... I'm constantly searching for dupes. And that, my friends, have arrived to my second world: stardoll. So, in this post, I'm gonna show you how to achieve every single lip kit shade.

First, let me say that I was thinking of making two parts for this, but since I did them all at the same time, why not post everything at the same time? And doing it all at once I'm assuring that I'll start and finish, not start and end it 7 months later (if you know what I mean... ejem... Christmas Gift-O-Meter... ejem).

Second, I tried my best. It took me a lot of time to accomplish some colors, trying to mix different lipsticks, adding less or more layers... You know how stardoll make up works, it's not as easy as real life make up. The shades I got are inspired in both the color on the bottle but also the swatches I've seen all around YouTube and Instagram. Anyway, enough talk, I hope you like them.

I added the description of the real product that is written on the official website, Kylie wearing the real lip kit, the products I used and the colour I achieved.

REMEMBER TO CLICK ON THE IMAGES TO SEE THEM BETTER

Have in mind that I tried to do it with what I have in my beauty parlor, and I succeed in making all the shades I like. The only ones that I would never buy, are the ones I've done in the Plaza. I'm sure you would be able to find similar shades at the shop right now, if you don't know how to do so, just let me know in the comments and I'll try to find the appropriate combination.

Splendorous: Hair Trends Brought To You By Stardesigners

Stardoll do what they can trying to keep up with all the trends, including beauty trends. The opening of Tress Up came to delight us with beautiful hairs trendier and prettier than the ones we were so tired of seeing in the beauty parlor. However the trend game is fast and quick and leaves a gap of some hair trends that stardoll doesn't cover. Luckily for us, we can still get our hands on the latests coolest hairstyles thanks to some talented wig designers. And to make it even easier, here I am, to tell you where you can buy in stardoll the hairstyle you've been seeing so much on instagram.

  • Boxer Braids by MUNCHKIN_XD: Embraced by the clan Kardashian-Jenner and worn by probably every blogger/influencer (even Chiara Ferragni), here it is the last trend on braids. The wig comes in three parts: Head (89SD) and the two braids (78SD each), which makes a total of 245SD. For me it's quite a fortune but the truth is that the hairstyle is perfectly made.

  • Wet Hair by PATRONUS.: This wet hair effect has been going on for a while now but yet stardoll didn't think about giving the option of buying it, PATRONUS. did. I'm almost sure there are other versions of the hairstyle by other designers in different colours but I wasn't able to find any that was still available for sale. Anyway is not as if this one wasn't pretty enough... You can get the wig in her bazaar in just a single piece for 89SD.

  • Blonde Beach Waves by hannahjohns1: A.k.a the hair you wished you had every summer. This version by hannahjohns (former FM-Style contestant) is perfect in texture, colour, length... The wig is sold in three parts for a total amount of 271SD (83SD + 51SD + 83SD), another little fortune, but again quality is quality.

  • Half Up Bun by CandyAlize: This trend has been so difficult to find! Not because there weren't enough designs, but because for some unknown reason every beautiful wig of a half up bun that I found wasn't on sale or it was but under a long wait list of restocking that didn't give me any clue about the price. Believe me I tried. Then I found this version by CandyAlize and after all the research I made it was heaven! She sells the wig in two parts (83SD + 80SD) for a total amount of 163SD. And if you are interested some of the half up buns I found that I couldn't find out the price so I didn't use them for the post are on Sana_who_Sana and pepelepew presentations.

  • Grey Hair by Mirage.: One of the most popular hair trends in colouring has been (along with the fantasy colours I guess) grey. I must admit that I'm not that keen on it but when I see it in beautiful hairs they totally got me. Like this wig, that you can get for 166SD.

Hope this was helpful or at least enjoyable! Have a good weekend!
