Seen on FM-Style: Branding

Well, well, well... if it isn't the Stylish Stardoll Sisters Mireia with a new review on Cycle 14! This time is for Task 4. If you don't remember about last week, I'll put you into what was going on when reaching this task on the cycle.

One team left (The Trinity), so there were only 8 teams left, one of them with only one contestant, so Myrthe (bueno-koekje_xx) was relocated into MAC team, where mathildamath had left and there were only two. So, for this task 7 teams were sending entries.

If you want to follow the cycle closely you will need to join the club FM-Style on Stardoll. To show you a little of what's going on in case you don't know the fashion competitions we host there on the club, this time we have a special cycle (Cycle 14 omg, we're getting old). We got to 600 members, and to celebrate that we're hosting a team cycle, meaning contestants don't take part individually but in teams, forcing them to work together and deliver kind of coordinated entries.

Task 4: Branding

For this fourth task you're all becoming stylists and publicists. The outfits you have to create for this task are supposed to be part of the add of a brand/brand collection. That means that you will need to have in mind the general aesthetic and the main characteristics of the brand/brand collection.

The outfits would appear all together in the add so they also should LOOK GOOD TOGETHER. You can pick any brand you want, even if it's a brand that doesn't utually do this type of adds where more than one model appears.

This time one of the Stylish Stardoll Sisters was pretty busy and out of inspiration, so it was only Judith who created something to show to the contestants along the other judges. 

But, I have always wanted to do all the tasks we propose them to do where examples are useful, and now that I got inspired with all the new collections coming in from Fashion Weeks all over the world, I'm gonna give it a try. Here's my attempt inspired by this Versace S/S 2018 that is at the same time inspired in the Gianni Versace classic designs.

And without further ado, this is what the teams delivered for this task:

And my favorites are... (drumroll)

- This time my personal favorite is one of the teams I coach: Team KAL. I think they did a great job, and got the brand (Camilla & Marc), even if it was a not very know brand. Their presentation looked flawless in that palace and their outfits are amazing individually and look amazing all together. 

- For the second place in my favorites list, this time I give it to SHADES. I would have preferred to see something original, created by them, not THAT inspired by Balenciaga. At the same time, what they did to achieve the shapes of the catwalk is amazing, they are the resizing queens and this is a magnifique job. 

- Last but not least, on the third place I put MAC TEAM. I think their entry is super editorial and all the outfits have the image of the brand. Even if I'm not a fan of Vivienne Westwood, I appreciate what they did, a pure work of art. The background is very well choosen for the task and I think Myrthe incorporated into the team super gracefully.

Seen On FM-Style: Last Christmas

The first task of Cycle 13 in FM-Style has come to an end, and so has Christmas. Our lovely 15 contestants introduced themselves through fashion and style sharing an outfit related somehow to the Christmas holidays.

You can already feel the tension and talent, cause... what a first task! So many contestants delivered really strong tasks! And we have many new faces which is going to make this cycle super exciting!

The ones that surprised me the most, though, were: Alicja (alusiak123) and Letícia (leiona_-).

I wasn't expecting anything similar to Alicja's outfit and yet you can still feel the Christmas vibe! Plus the outfit is unbelievably great. Everything matches perfectly and it's so fresh and original.

Letícia's outfit was more on the line of the kind of outfits I was expecting for this task but still left me in awe. She has incorporated a lot of Christmas elements (red, green, big fur coat, wool jumper...) and still it looks so fashionable and not too literal.

These two outfits weren't just my favourites, they were liked between the rest of the judges as well cause they got 1st and 2nd place respectively.

And my other two favourites were: Elena (ElenaGao2) and Navi (vousme).

I love the young and good vibe of Elena's outfit and I love even more how she equilibrated all that red and green with little black and white details. The Gucci socks and those shoes were the perfect ending touch for this outfit. And another thing I appreciate a lot when it comes to judging an outfit is when a contestant makes what I used to consider an ugly item, look cool. This is exactly what Elena did with that jacket.

Navi conquered my heart with the denim Tommy Hilfiger overall and matching a Christmas ugly sweater with all that casualness, looks effortlessly amazing.

As I have already said, though, it was a really good first task and lots more of contestants got high marks. I personally enjoyed the combination of the RGB primary colours Stefan (Sweet_gal11) did, the red suit of Andrea (Andre1396), the different approach that Rose (Glittergirl208) took connecting with snow, the Giraffe Santa sweater of Monika (the_chuba), the trendiness of Drew's (modmayhem) outfit...

You can already see how satisfied I am with the start of the cycle, keep up the good work guys!

We will see everyone again on next task, except for Myrthe (bueno-koekje_xx) whose outfit wasn't Christmassy enough and got her eliminated.

Seen on FM-Style: Introducing Cycle 13

First of all...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

And with the Christmas Holidays the new Cycle at FM-Style has come! Cycle 13 has started!! As always we will be reviewing the cycle here in the SSS, so keep checking every week! And now, without further a do, I'll introduce you to the fresh team of judges:
