Seen on FM-Style: Grocery Shop

When I was younger, I decided which celebs I liked their style based on what outfits they wore to do some shopping. You know, when they look VERY casual. Some of them are a mess, and others always look fashionable and good.

I wanted the contestants to represent that, and I put them into context by telling them they were celebrities and they needed to go out to do a quick shopping. The outfits had to reflect that, like they had dressed in fast and only for a short walk to the grocery shop to get lettuce and tomatoes.

According to the judges, the best at this task were... (drumroll, please)

AudreyHepburn.: Lauri caught the eye of the judges with this simple but effective outfit. An all black outfit can never go wrong. He managed to dress his doll stylish and elegant with a quick outfit. The judges gave him two 10's and the rest of the marks were pretty good too.

whereisalice: Alice opted for a more detailed outfit, adding the grocery bags, the sunglasses for avoiding the paparazzi and some quick bracelets. The outfit looks super comfortable with those loose pants and that blouse and to protect herself from the cold, a nice long jacket. Alice didn't reach Lauri with the scores, but there's no doubt that her outfit was very good too.

I want to special mention my favorites for this task that were: Green_Eye_Angel and Ms.Brigitte. Although the other judges didn't like their outfits as much as myself, I do think that they both deserve to be mentioned.

Street Style

I remember when the collection of Jean Paul Gaultier came to stardoll. By then, as I've mentioned before in some post, I only had enough stardollars to get one piece of the collection, and this vest was too extravagant for an investment. I thought I wouldn't be using it too much, so I didn't fix my eyes on it.

Then, a collection from Callie's Picks arrived with that vest. Silly me, I remember not liking it enough when the tribute collection came up, so I didn't even thought about buying it. What was my delight when after I saw the Moschino Barbie collection that I love so much, one day I saw this vest and it was so similar to this outfit... that I fell in love with it!

So, I began searching for it at a good prize, and yesterday I finally made it! For 14sd I found it in a girl's bazaar. Imagine my excitement!! I wanted to apport my touch to the outfit, so I made it a little more rocker and combined it with black. I tried a lot of combinations, and some of them I liked it a lot, but this one was one of my favorites. I hope I can do another outfit with this vest soon. :)

Spotted: regnlee

I was searching for some nice outfits for my spotted post, but then I began coming across some Halloween costumes and I couldn't help but post my favorite one. I know I am two days late for this, and I'm sure I've missed amazing outfits around Stardoll, but I hope you enjoy this one. The artist is regnlee, and she did an amazing and creepy job! If you don't know her, have a tour by her suite, I highly recommend it, it's marvelous! And well yes, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Shopping: Millionaire Mansion Lurex Suit Dress

Hi everyone! :) Today I bring you some outfits with this dress from the Millionaire Mansion Fashion shop in starplaza inspired in this other one from Balmain SS14 (actually I'm not sure if it's from the SS14 catwalk or the resort collection because I found the picture in many online stores but when you look for the catwalk version... M.I.A).
Anyway I'm really happy with the outfits I made. At first I thought that all of them would end up looking really similar but I managed to create different styles with it.

The first outfit it's glamorous but modern and chic at the same time. I was actually inspired by the real Balmain collection for this one and I used black, white & gold for the outfit just like in the original dress and the pointy stilettos which were the kind of shoes the models wore in the catwalk. Also I made bigger the hat so it would look more like a pamela which was the hat I wanted for the outfit but didn't own any in black.
The second outfit it's the most casual one. As I thought this dress was pretty elegant and high society-like I wanted to make something completely different with it, and that was casual and a little bit edgy. For that I used this ripped and old denim jacket which I'm starting to believe it can make anything, really ANYTHING look more casual.
The third outfit it's more vintage. It kinda reminds me of a circus I don't know why. I used the fringe bag, which really brings you to another time and the black & white shoes which went perfectly with the outfit.
And finally the last outfit it's very lady-like but at the same time the kind of outfit a confident woman would wear, with the big sunglasses and the really high heels.

Street Style

I saw this combination of jumper tucked inside business like pants on a real life street style blog and since I don't have this kind of pants in my real wardrobe I decided to try it in stardoll. The first outfit I created involved a knitted jumper which having in mind only the textures look so much better but I didn't like how the color of it looked with the color of the pants so I changed it for this one instead. I like very much this idea but I'm not so fond of the outfit it turned out, but I wanted to share it even though!
