Seen on FM-Style: International Fashion

For the final, AudreyHepburn. and whereisalice had to create 5 outfits that followed a theme: a nation. They had to choose a country or tribe, and create a lookbook of 5 outfits, that looked from the same collection and that followed their choice.

whereisalice chose to represent Scotland but in a business way instead of the typical grunge. The central topic was the tartan.

AudreyHepburn. went for the Scandinavian style and he resumed us what was all about:

It was difficult to say but at the end, the winner was... AUDREYHEPBURN. !!
As you have seen his work through all the cycle was great, and he always manage to surprise us with it's classic looks, that would be worth of the real Audrey Hepburn. He totally deserved the first place, although Alice could have been the winner too. It was a very tight cycle this one and both could have won.

Congratulations Lauri! :)

For the semi-final on Cycle 7 I always create tasks where the semi-finalists have to style 2 outfits. For this cycle I had in my mind one idea that I wanted to dare the contestants with: skirt + pants. So, this task, was all about the skirts. They had to style 2 outfits with the same skirt, one using that combo (using it with pants), and another one with no theme. It was free styling, the only direction was that it had to be the same skirt of the first outfit, the difficult one.

The tittle is about the film "Some like it hot", in Spanish is translated to something like "With skirts and wildly". It was too appropriate for this task, right? I leave you with some music from the movie:

And, without further delay...

For the first part, the skirt + pants, whereisalice was the best by far with that amazing outfit that reminds me of Yeezus (Kanye West). Amazing, really, I was amazed by her entry.

However, for the second part, AudreyHepburn. was the one with most points with this elegant but modern at the same time outfit. That hair accesories was a great additions I must say.

The two of them where the ones who went to the final, that I'll share with you soon. Cycle 8 has already started and I wish I could post it here at the same time it goes, without delay. I hope I can do it, but as they say... Nobody's perfect

Seen on FM-Style: Colors of the season

I love tasks related to stylings in only one colour. I think it looks gorgeous but at the same time it's a little plain, so I never use it on my outfits. That's why I like using the idea on tasks for FM-Style. I've done it several times on different cycles and I felt like it was time for doing it again.

I looked at my Vogue Collections of Fall/Autumn 2014-15 and I saw that there were 6 colors that some designers used as monochromatic: white, black, red, cobalt blue, orange and forest green. This was for task 5, where only 5 contestants were still competing. Each one had to chose one of the colours given and create a total look with it.

No one picked red. White and black where the easiest colours. Cobalt blue, orange, and forest green were more tricky. This was all taken into consideration by the judges, who decided that the best at this task were...

Despite AudreyHepburn. chose one of the easiest colours, the judges loved his outfit. Lauri managed to delight us creating an outfit with multiple items and not making it plain at all. He got the highest score.

Ms.Brigitte surprised us with this bright orange, with an outfit that made her remember of Jil Sander (if I'm not wrong). We loved it, she was close to Lauri with only 0.3 points less.

I love the little details of both contestants, the white rubber band in AudreyHepburn.'s hair and the orange lipstick on Ms.Brigitte. Good job!

I would like to mention that whereisalice was close to them too. The 3 of them stand out and make them pass to the semifinal that I'll share with you soon.

Seen on FM-Style: Grocery Shop

When I was younger, I decided which celebs I liked their style based on what outfits they wore to do some shopping. You know, when they look VERY casual. Some of them are a mess, and others always look fashionable and good.

I wanted the contestants to represent that, and I put them into context by telling them they were celebrities and they needed to go out to do a quick shopping. The outfits had to reflect that, like they had dressed in fast and only for a short walk to the grocery shop to get lettuce and tomatoes.

According to the judges, the best at this task were... (drumroll, please)

AudreyHepburn.: Lauri caught the eye of the judges with this simple but effective outfit. An all black outfit can never go wrong. He managed to dress his doll stylish and elegant with a quick outfit. The judges gave him two 10's and the rest of the marks were pretty good too.

whereisalice: Alice opted for a more detailed outfit, adding the grocery bags, the sunglasses for avoiding the paparazzi and some quick bracelets. The outfit looks super comfortable with those loose pants and that blouse and to protect herself from the cold, a nice long jacket. Alice didn't reach Lauri with the scores, but there's no doubt that her outfit was very good too.

I want to special mention my favorites for this task that were: Green_Eye_Angel and Ms.Brigitte. Although the other judges didn't like their outfits as much as myself, I do think that they both deserve to be mentioned.

Seen on FM-Style: Opposites Attract

This was a very fun task to organize. We, the Stylish Stardoll Sisters (Judith_25 and myself), decided to do a personalized task. That means that there were specific directions for each contestant. We decided to do this on the 3rd task. The contestants had to dress in the opposite of their style.

We visited everyone one by one, and tried to look at their albums, sceneries, blogs or whatever they had to see a variety of their outfits. All that in order to define their style. We knew several contestants from before the cycle, so it was easy to assign the opposite to those of you who have been on our friends' list for a long time. For the others we made an approximation.

I think it was a a well welcomed task, and that it was fun for everyone to read what we thought it was their style and knew what opposite outfit they had to make.

Now, enough talking and let's see who caught the eye of the judges on this task. Give me a drumroll please...

Green_Eye_Angel: Alexandra mentioned on a previous task that she liked mixing different styles. Also we saw a variety of their outfits in Stardoll Most Wanted blog, all very feminine. That's why we decided to make her create a MASCULINE outfit, thinking as a boy and without mixing. All the judges agreed on her mark, it was unanimous. Congratulations on the best mark!

whereisalice: What we saw in all the tasks from the previous cycle of Alice was that simple but elegant looks. Also, every time we visited her she was wearing those trendy outfits but without adding too much. For this task we wanted her to do something we rarely have seen her doing: adding a lot of accessories and elements to the outfit, with a lot of colour. That's why we thought she could create an ETHNIC outfit. She didn't disappoint us, and although it's still a little plain and not over the top (which probably is better), almost all the judges gave her the same mark positioning with only one decimal less than Alexandra (Green_Eye_Angel).

I have to say though, that a lot of other contestants did it great on this task. I'm talking about nikkiGOESrawr, sweet_gal11 and JosephinaA, who all got grades above 8.

Seen on FM-Style: Silver Linings

Our Task 2 from Cycle 7 was all about styling a skirt. But not any skirt, the one called "Cloud Vinil Skirt", available for 172 starcoins on Bonjour Bizou.

That was all, they could do whatever they want as long as they were using the item requested.
And the contestants that got the best qualifications were:

AudreyHepburn. totally nailed it. He got almost a perfect score from all the judges with his all white-silver outfit and those pink touches. It was simple but elegant, very classy, a perfect representation of his doll's style.

nikkiiGOESrarw surprised us with this casual and very summery way of styling that skirt. She combined the silver vinil skirt, with a white top with transparencies (originally a dress) and adding all the accesories very sporty and mint coloured. That was a great example on how to mix textures!

Seen on FM-Style: Join the Army!

Hello everyone!
We said somewhere that we were gonna include the best work of our contestants on FM-Style, our club, but we kind of forget that. There's no mistake that can't be solved, so here I am, solving ours.
Here you have a new section: "Seen on FM-Style". Here we will share with you what our contestants do on the club, but only the best of the best.

We are currently on Cycle 7, and for the 1st task, that was 3 weeks ago, the theme was militar. Is a trend that we've seen in some shows of Fall/Winter 2014-15, as Balmain or Versace

BALMAIN:

VERSACE:

The contestants that surprised us with their outfits and received the highest marks were:

whereisalice was the winner of the task apporting us a rockish almost all black militar outfit.

Green_Eye_Angel instead aimed for a lady version but with the right accesories for making it militar, like the boots, jacket or those necklaces.
