Last Friday a new LE collection came out. With quite a good selection of items in my opinion and of very good graphics, I'm really satisfied with the graphics. Aaaand... They released again another version of the Vetements jeans. I think it was enough after two of them in the last two LE collections and a black version in the Gift-O-Meter but it seems Stardoll is still obsessed with them.
Here's what the two new floors look like (although most of the things are already sold out now).
Unluckily I was at class when the collection was released and get home too late for my favourite items, so I ended up not buying anything, it wasn't worth it paying for a Superstar membership for what was left. But here it is my selection of the items I liked the most! (The interior rooms are quite nice too).
And last but not least, some of the lucky and stylish dolls out there who got their hands on the limited clothes.
In order of appearance: Mery.- wearing LE Silk Midi Dress and Pantashoes; janetteLow wearing LELace Bralette and bornthiswaay wearing LE Striped Wide Leg Pants and Pantashoes.
In order of appearance: oayes wearing LE YSL Inspired Sweetheart Blouse, SS2017 Handbag and Velvet Choker; mangunmeetan wearing LE Nude Tulle Top and Nude Tulle Skirt and Vuides. wearing LE Pantashoes.
Mireia and I were craving for Tributes (as you can see in the last Sister Talking) and Stardoll responded kindly a few days later releasing Gucci Tribute. And I couldn't be more happy! If you had asked me which brands would I like to see tributed on Stardoll Gucci would have definitely been one of them. Now I can't wait to see with which designers they will surprise me next, because they have started STRONG!
The items and graphics in general are no disappointment. There are a lot of good and original pieces, I think they have made quite a good selection. I'm still a little sad that they haven't gone for the simple black version of the fur loafers, but nothing's perfect and everything else makes it up, specially the prizes, which are not as high as I was expecting after the general rise that has been going on lately. I also love the fact that they included a lot of iconic Gucci items: all the shoes, all the bags, the sunglasses, the red sweater, the cardigan... But if I had to make a top 5... This would be it:
And to finish this happily made Store Statement some inspiration brought to you by some of the amazing FM-Style members. Which reminds me...
APPLICATIONS FOR CYCLE 13 ON FM-STYLE ARE NOW OPEN!
In order of appearance:bornthiswaay wearing Gucci Inspired Cream Mini and Gucci Inspired Socks; aby400 wearing Gucci Inspired Socks; missiwantitall wearing Gucci Zebra Faux Fur Coat and Meeermer wearing Gucci Oversized Cardigan.
P.S: It seems that good news come in pairs today and a Christmas Gift-O-Meter has started! I really hope Mireia doesn't try to fool anybody (not even herself) by pretending she's going to review the Gift-O-Meter and end it in time, BUT it has some nice items (marked with a little gold star).
These are some amazing outfits sometimes with decoration that I've found super cool visiting some suites today. I took some of them from SMW, our partner blog (as you must know), where there's a theme day of Halloween. You can take part clicking here!
Hello, hello! Who let the dogs out? Really, now all the contestants submitting their entries with dogs? Oh, this is what actually the task consisted in? Fun!
But, let's do a little flashback to last week's poll. Who has been the most voted one for the Black & White (#000000 & #FFFFFF) task? Here you have the results:
The winner according to the public is Navi (vousme)! Congratulations!! She was the winner according to the judges as well, but in a tie with Marta (Marta-43) that is the one that got in the second position on the poll.
And back to the dogs! This was a super interesting task for me. When Judith came up with the idea I was a little hesitant at first, until I remembered that scene of the 101 Dalmatians where Pongo contemplates through the window searching for love and assuming that every dog looks like their owner. That was the objective of the task, but on the reverse: creating an outfit that looked good together with a dog of their choice.
For me, those have been my favorites this week:
Navi (vousme) was my favorite again, with an all white outfit and a fluffy white dog that matches perfectly with her white fur. Then we have Jovana (GoldieMememe) and Sia (bella98twilight) with amazing outfits that match their dogs. However, I was expecting a little bit more for this task. I think I was a little disappointed. I would have loved to see more outfits like the examples of the judges. Look at Judith (Judith_25) and Rawan (bornthiswaay)!
But what do you think? Here you can see all the contestants tasks:
Before finishing this post, let me first say a proper goodbye to 2 of the good ones: Val (invisibl3) and Andrea (Andre1396). Val had to drop out of the competition, and unfortunately, Andrea was the one with the lowest score. This is how the Contestants Board looks like now. Only 7 contestants left, and that's why the next task is called Seven Nation Army. You already know what's the theme I guess...
When Mireia and I found out about this blog we knew we had to become partners! To be honest we liked it that much that even if they had rejected our offer we would have shared it here either way, under another title that didn't include the "NEW PARTNER!" thing. But they said yes, so now we are proud to introduce this blog to you as our new partner!
Glimmer (CoralCool91) is the owner of this blog and an amazing team of writers (you may recognise a few names ;) ) joins her to form incredible content: Maurice (kickherout), Felipe (yulissahermosa) and Rawan (bornthiswaay)
In order of appearance: Glimmer, Maurice, Felipe and Rawan (outfits from Styled on the Street posts).
This amazing group of stylish people met through our club (FM-Style) which makes us so proud as the result of this union is great daily outfits from different styles and from time to time what they call Team Post, where they review a new collection giving personal opinions and one outfit with the new clothes from each writer.
The latest Team Post on SOTS about the new collection of Denim & Supply.
So, a very interesting blog with its roots on FM-Style (can't describe how proud and flattered I feel for this) which is definitely worth the visit and the follow! ;)
And just like that we arrived to the final task of Cycle 11 on FM-Style. This last task was as connected to Mireia and I (and this blog) as possible so we decided to put this song (our song), with the word sister in it, as its soundtrack. The task consisted in picking five trends that had appeared throughout the FW 15/16 Surrounded by Trends and creating an outfit for each one of it.
Lucia and Rawan(the two finalists) both deliverd, as always, fantastic outfits. I particularly liked their Mod outfits. I loved them both, so loyal to the style and so beautiful at the same time.
I personally liked a lot as well the Sporty outfit of Rawan. She created black and white tracksuit pants mixing two different pieces and in my opinion looks so original and refreshing. Also, her take on the victorian blouse was praised by the judges, just the perfect vintage outfit for the current days.
Finally, the last outfit I'm sharing on this post that took my attention it's the 80's fashion byLucia. She took a risk and succeeded with a wonderful outfit I loved.
In the end both of them were pretty close (only 0.5 of difference), but the perfect attention to details and the originality of Rawan, it's, in my opinion, what made the difference.
And just like that Rawan became the winner of Cycle 11 on FM-Style. Congratulations!
Semifinal... Do you know what that means? More work. Two outfits instead of one. For Killing the Lights, the few remaining contestants had to create two outfits with a common item. The first one had to be editorial-like, very outstanding, very fashionable and extravagant. The second instead, using the same item (not accessory) had to be wearable on the street.
For this task we received really different entries. I wanted to post my favorite of the editorial and my favorite of the street style outfit. Casually they are both from the same contestant, Rawan (bornthiswaay) who got in the first position again.
The ones who got eliminated (as only two can go to the final) were Stefan (sweet_gal11) and Teresa (platinumgals), who wasn't able to submit her entry.
It's very sad to see them go, but now we have our two finalists!!
Only 4 contestants left and the opportunity for one of the already eliminated ones to comeback to the cycle, this is what was happening in task 10 at FM-Style. Any contestant that had been selected at the beginning of the cycle could participate in this task and the one who got the best mark would became contestant again. The task: creating one more catwalk look for the Spring Summer 2016 Gucci's collection.
And the one who left me with my mouth open for quite a while was one of the eliminated contestants. Stefan (sweet_gal11) came back strong! He delighted us with this amazing outfit that brought him back to the competition! (applause)
Rawan (bornthiswaay) and Teresa (platinumgals) didn't let us down and continued to bring us beautiful outfits.
And task 10 ended, saying goodbye to the lovely Glimmer (CoralCool91) who got the lowest mark this time and welcoming back Stefan! We're already on the semifinal that will have a double elimination and in two weeks we will know the winner of cycle 11. Who will it be?
We got a new collection from Original Future! The name they put on the message we received advertising it was Street Style, so when I saw it I had great expectations about it. And let me just say that... they made it! I love it! These are the new additions to the store:

So, opinions? Is not like everything is great, in fact there are some pieces that... wtf? Why would I want a snowboard, i.e.? But, there are some basics that are great and can be very versatile (and I love versatility, on stardoll and on real life) and that is amazeballs. I can't choose only a few favorites, this is everything I would like to have at some point on my virtual wardrobe.
And this is what I saw around this magnifique world of Dollywood filled with stylish dolls and amazing outfits. Some are more Kanye-ish, others more elegant...
From left to right: bornthiswaay wearing Yeezy Inspired Top (15SD), Mia1435 wearing Baggy Marl Sweater (16SD) and Andre1396 wearing Chunky Frizzy Sweater (19SD).
For Task 9 we did something that we never did before. Judith wrote a text about a fictional character and the contestants had to interpret the text and create an outfit appropriate for that person. Here's the text:
"You could tell without knowing her that she was a confident independent woman. She walked everywhere like she owned the floor she was stepping on. She had never been an insecure person, she had never worried about others opinion. She didn’t have to pretend because she already fitted in. Her arrogance, her snobbishness, her pride emanated from every pore in her skin while a deep desire of disconnecting from her hectic life popped a little big through her clothes choice. She was who she was, and for an unknown reason people seemed to like her."
And then, for all the judges to have in mind the same idea, she also wrote some guidelines for them. However, contestants could write a different description as long as it matched the character. Here are the guidelines:
- “deep desire of disconnecting from her hectic life” = Little exotic details (feathers, jewelry, something ethnic, something related to nature…)
- “people seemed to like her” , “She didn’t have to pretend because she already fitted in" = Nothing too strange or extravagant, her clothes and appearance has to be likeable for the general public.
- “Her arrongance, her snobbishness, her pride emanated from every pore in her skin” = Elegant and luxury clothes.
- “she had never worried about others opinion” = Outfit with personality, nothing too common.
- “confident independent woman” = Adult’s clothes (avoid backpacks, converse sneakers…) and that shows self-assurance.
And after all this long introduction, 4 contestants did this task, but my favorites have been...
Even the 2 outfits together look good, like they are exactly on the same street!
We have Rawan (bornthiswaay) on the left, with a perfect outfit that described exactly the characteristics, but for me was a little too classy and was missing something more special, more exotic. That was the factor that made Teresa's (platinumgals) outfit my favorite. As I said on the feedback I wrote to her, for this task I was looking for this "I'm perfect without trying" look, and I think she totally made it. Looks like she just picked some items from her wardrobe put them all together and then tied her hair and added some red lipstick and ready to go. I just love it!
Unfortunately, Felipe (yulissahermosa) decided to focus on other things besides Stardoll, so he dropped out of the cycle. As one contestant was already out, there was no other elimination besides him.
Task 8 was tricky. You could feel the difficulty when Saturday arrived and only one of our contestants had delivered their task. We gave them an album with pictures of different artists performing on stage and what they had to do is pick one and recreate it but with a little twist that could be worn on the streets, that means reduce a little bit the extravagance of most of the outfits.
In the end, with a little bit of delay, 5 out of 7 contestants delivered their tasks and as always they brought us beautiful outfits that I'm about to share.
To be honest the marks I gave this time were all very high, all of them above 8, so I had a lot of trouble picking the outfits I would share with you here. The one I had clear was the one Lucia (roco_90) delivered. Second time on a row that she is between my favourites, she's doing well!
This is an almost perfect representation of how Taylor Swift's outfit would look on the streets. I loved it!
And as my second favourites I decided to pick two very different outfits.
On one hand we've got Rawan (bornthiswaay) who did an amazing job at recreating Britney Spear's outfit as it was the most difficult artist of the whole album. On the other hand we've got exactly the opposite, Teresa (platinumgals) with an amazing outfit which was easier to represent. Both are great and deserved to be here anyway!
This time, even though we were supposedly having a double elimination it wasn't hard for us, the contestants saved us the trouble, as two of them did not complete it. And like that, there were only 5 left...
