Well it’s not bad, it’s a nice earring and I like that you can buy it individually and if you want buy it twice for a more traditional look. I think another colour would have worked better here, a shade of brown or black… I’m not sure about that light purple here… But well it goes along with the bracelet we got earlier in the month.

I paired the earring with the bracelet and went for an all white outfit mixed with gold details to combined the gold of the jewelry. I tried to be very minimalistic so the earring would get all the attention.

MIREIA:

I haven't thought of using two earrings! I would have liked to see one of our outfits doing so... what a pity! Anyway, I like it, but not enough to buy. I think it's very original, but yeah, maybe in a more neutral colour would have been better, well, not better, more buyable.

I went for black, funny! Haha And I decided to add some purple only on the shoes, so you see purple on the top and on the bottom.

MIREIA:

O M G! I said I would never complain again but what is this? Why are these shoes so effing expensive!? Almost 30 sd for just a pair of shoes? I know it's Chloe inspired but it's more expensive than Gucci shoes from the Holiday Tribute. And it doesn't look like it's a mistake... I really don't get what they are doing, besides not wanting me to buy any HotBuys at all. That being said, I think the shoes are nice, but not that nice for 28 SD and not something I need in my closet. The color is a little bit complicated, cause it's this navy blue that is almost black that I always have troubles pairing with. So definitely for me... this is a NAY!

For my outfit I did the most reasonable thing I could do to not mess it up: combine with white. I chose this skirt of the same color and added the white Dior top from LE (that is still available by the way) and then just finished the look with a belt (now I realised that I went for silver and the shoes have a little gold buckle, but oh well, you can barely see it) and added a silver clutch to match it. Finally I went looking for a nice fur jacket maybe, but I came across this pink and navy blue bomber, and I couldn't resist, I used it. 

JUDITH:

I think the shoes are really nice, they're a nice shape, I do like the colour and that little gold buckle it's a nice detail and I'm really satisfied with the graphics, that velvet looks great! I think as well that they are overpriced of course. I'm not going to buy them for the moment but It's not a complete unchangeable no.

About my outfit I thought it would be fun to coordinate the blue of the shoes with that green-blueish Balmain skirt. I finished the outfit with a blue top and the Balmain jacket, which even though I don't usually like navy blue with black I think that looks nice in here. I didn't add a bag cause it was difficult to make it fig with those big sleeves.

MIREIA:
I didn't think I would like it when I saw it on the catalog, but then I put in on my doll and voilà! I think it's very fitting and looks great on our dolls bodies. I like this dark denim colour as well and the sewing in this yellow/orange. What I'm not very fond of is the opening that makes the leg visible. I mean I would like it, I love this kind of things usually, but not this time. With that tight denim midi skirt I would have loved it to be very tight all over the legs until the knees and it's not happening. Also, for the outfit it was way more complicated than what I was imagining, so I don't think I would buy this.

I wanted to base my outfit in beige/brown cause I love how it looks with dark denim. It could have also been white, but not sure I like it with black, so I went all for brown in here. I just completed the outfit with brown accesories and tried to give this casual/normal girl vibe by adding the black bag she's supposed to throw in everyday.

JUDITH:
I agree with everything Mireia has said. I also thought i wouldn't like it but they did really well with the graphics which makes it good. The denim texture looks perfect and the yellow/orange sewing it only improves it even more, it looks so real. The shape is great too, as Mireia said it fits and looks well on our dolls, not like the cape from Sunday 4th... I'm not sure what to think about the slit. I think it's a nice addition and it gives more mobility to the body (I know our dolls aren't actually going to move, but I just can't help but imagine how uncomfortable this skirt without the slit would have been... Denim is a quite stiff fabric and that tight and covering half of your legs...) but at the same time I'm not sure if it goes with a denim pencil skirt. I'm not going to buy it either because it's not an item I want but they did well with the shaping and graphics this time. No complaints!

Since I tried it on I knew I wanted to do denim on denim for the outfit. The blouse from IT Girls was perfect as it also has the same sewings in yellow/orange but the blue of the denim is a bit lighter so it doesn't look like you're wearing matching denim clothes. I ended the outfit with brownish accessories.

I love this little cute bag. It's the same color as the hideous cape from the beginning month (click here to see the post) but it has such a nice shape, and this cute little keychain... adorable! Such a cute bag! I would buy it, but I guess I will have to talk with Judith first, because I'm guessing she's gonna like it as well.

For my outfit I tried to do something very very casual and sporty, to contrast the elegance of the bag. Also, as in last post our outfit were a little similar (my fault), this time that I'm the first one doing the outfit I tried to create something that Judith would never do. And well, I guess this is a very representing outfit of me. I've done lots like this one. Only missing a choker to be my everyday real life outfit. 

JUDITH:

I do like it! I've seen the real bag on net-a-porter in lots of different colours and it always looks so good, I love the shape! However the keychain pulls me off a little bit. If it was a cute robotic face like in the Fendi designs or something I would like it, but an eye? I don't get it. I still think the bag is really nice despite the keychain and colour, which looks way better in this bag that in the cape btw, so I'm glad you're buying it Mireia!

For my outfit I went for something elegant. I thought the weird colour of the bag would look nice with this satin beige pants from the new Young Hollywood collection. I tried to make the outfit a little bit more casual with the bralette on top of a white tee trend and the biker jacket. To finish off a nice pair of black pumps.

I like these ones! It's nothing super original but I definitely needed these kind of sunglasses in my closet, the colour is perfect, just what I was missing when I dress up sometimes. I think this is a quite useful item that can come in handy in many outfits so I bought them this time!

For my outfit I wanted to make an outfit in this nude-pink colour the sunglasses have. With the LV bag I break that monochrome a little bit and while the dress, shirt, bag and sunglasses are quite classic I bring in a little bit of contrast with the jacket and boots which are more trendy.

MIREIA:

Nice sunglasses but I'm not that excited about them as Judith. Still I think they are a nice addition to any outfit, and even if I'm not a fan of those ones, I love adding sunglasses to any outfit! It just gives another fashionable accessory to complete an otherwise (sometimes) boring look. Just check the street styles of this blog and tell me the rate of my doll wearing sunglasses VS my doll not wearing them. Enough said, if you like them prepare your pocket and fill that gift-o-meter!

First thing I did was to change my doll's make up to fit the sunglasses, that means nude lipstick ad natural make up. Then I used this new shoes from Young Hollywood, finding the dress was the next step, and then I just completed the outfit with a coat and a bag in the same colour as the sunglasses. When I finished my outfit and put it next to Judith's... I realised that they were very similar. Sorry for that. Looks like this sunglasses scream for a lady nude look.

MIREIA: 

Very nice bracelet. I like it. As it's a bracelet is not something I'm planning on buying (maybe if it was cheaper), but I think it has a nice design and above all, I like this lilac shade with gold and I love this little pom-pom's.

For my outfit I decided to take advantage of the new release (Gucci) and added first of all this pink turban. Then I just played with it and try adding items until I liked the result. Obviously, gold details are a must.

JUDITH:

This bracelet says nothing to me. It's nice but I don't see why would I want to buy it I can't think of any outfit in which I would NEED something like this, it's just that kind of thing you add to accessorize the outfit. I don't know... I think that at least with HotBuys pieces they should go either for really classic jewelry (like the Cartier love bracelet for example) or original statement ones. This is somewhere in the middle which makes it just "ok...".

For my outfit I went for something casual but still smart and added those purple shoes to match the pom-poms in the bracelet.

JUDITH:

Not bad. It's a bit too elegant for my taste even though you can combine it with casual items. The beige inside of the blouse, although it's realistic, bothers me a bit popping out. I like the collarbone, it looks very neat, but not so sure about the sleeves. But yes, basically, nice but really more elegant than what I usually like. 

The moment I saw it I thought of combining it with these culottes. They're perfect for each other as the darker blue of the jeans is pretty much the same shade of the top. Plus the jeans make the top not that elegant. I finished the look with black and brown accessories.

MIREIA:

I like the off-shoulder part of this top, and the blue color is a really nice shade, very wintery. However... why a peplum finish? These trend was spot on way too years ago, and I don't want it back, I don't like it. Plus, it's what makes the top more elegant and the thing that makes these beige shade pop out (that I don't like either). And paying that prize for this top? No, the answer is no for me. 

I wanted to pair it with an elegant look, but it looks like casual is my second name. I tried, I promise, but the beige shade made everything harder. So I decided to go for jeans and finish the look with accessories I liked. Not the choker though, that was a must. I love chokers with off-shoulder tops, they are meant to be together.

JUDITH:
Not bad, a simple and useful silver clutch. The shape reminds me a little bit of a make-up bag but it can be the kind of bag you're looking for to end some outfits, as it isn't super special but looks nice and combines with almost anything. I'm not really interested in it, I won't be buying but it's ok.

For my outfit I went for a black suit with an untraditional shape, instead of smart pants and blazer I went for something more pajama-like. The elegance of the silver clutch elevates the ensemble and makes it the perfect accessory.

MIREIA:
Great! I'm buying!! I think Judith defined my thoughts exactly when she said "bag you're looking for to end some outfits". Lately I've been having lots of trouble when I'm searching for a bag for my outfits, and I end up using always the same ones, so I think this little white/silver clutch will be the perfect addition.

I decided to combine it with this velvet top from Nelly that I love but I don't plan on buying. I love this color and I think it looks great with the clutch. Then I just finished the outfit with white casual pants and silver accessories.

I hate it. I have never been a big fan of capes but in addition this one is horribly shaped. It looks like the bottom part of a bell and the colour doesn't make it any better.

I found incredibly hard to style this cape/dress. Due to the shape it's difficult to find a coat that fits but hides a bit the bell-shape I was talking about and I really had no idea of how I could make it look cooler. My first idea was to combine it with thigh-high boots but in the end I decided to spice it up with some cool earrings.

MIREIA:
I hate it SO MUCH. For me the worst part is the weird beige shade. And in addition is super expensive! I would never buy it, not even for like 2 SD. That being said...

I tried to do something different and use it with pants. At first I wanted to cover some parts, like using a skirt of something, but due to its wide shape it was impossible to combine with anything else. So I went for a sporty look.

I like them, but not enough to buy. I mean, the color is definitely not made for me, I don't like brown shades too much, maybe only beige. The shape is original, but there's something wrong with the sided foot, isn't it? Is it not too much sided? Do you know what I mean? 

At first I wanted to combine the boots with a dress, and I had one from Riviera with a leopard pattern in the same brownish tone that the boots. But something wasn't right. Obviously it was the shape of the boots, so I decided to cover it as much as possible without covering too much. That's when I decided to wear jeans instead and created what I like to think is a boho outfit. It's not very very boho, just a little bit, and it's nothing too extravagant, in fact is pretty casual and wearable, but at least I think the boots look good.  

JUDITH:

I do like the boots! I think there weren't any boots in this colour before in Starplaza and I think they can be a nice addition to our wardrobes. I'm not buying them yet though cause I have a pair of boots from Nelly of almost the same shape in beige. If they were cheaper maybe but it's a no from now. Maybe in a few days I change my mind and reassure to buy them, I just need something to push me into the final decision wether it's a yes or a no.

About my outfit I knew I wanted to wear them underneath a midi skirt or culottes, I think this kind of boots look really good with these type of items. The outfit turned out pretty easily from there, turtleneck for having these wintery warm vibe, an earth toned bag matching the boots...

December starts today, and new month means new HotBuys. I hope we also have a Christmas Calendar because I love advent calendars. Aw guys, I really love Christmas, winter and everything that comes with it, and I know Judith loves it as well. I hope we have enough time to keep the blog active and give you new things. Not a big fan of woven to be honest. The shape isn't that good either, it's not ugly but it doesn't convince me at all. I do think it can look nice if the outfit it's cool though, I mean, it's not that the bag it's hideous it's just not for me.

For the outfit I decided to combined it with leopard print to match the brown tone of the bag and complete the outfit with black coat and boots.

MIREIA

Nice, you can do nice outfits with this bag, but it's not something I would like. For me the woven is too dark, I would love it if it was in the same colour as Judith envolved the tips with, but not on that orangy shade. However the shape is good and quality is ok.

I combined it with a lady outfit as for me woven is very girly, and with some hints of bad girls attitude. I tried to add orangy things to the outfit as well to match with the bag and I like this final result a little random but coordinated with the bag colour.

When I saw these jeans on the November HotBuys promo I expected them to be good and I proud to say that they haven't disappointed me. The quality of the graphics it's perfect! I love that stone washed denim colour and it looks very real. I also love the shape, I'm obsessed with mom/vintage jeans, they make any casual outfit better. As you can imagine it's a big YES for me and these jeans, I'm definitely going to buy them.

I think you can pair them basically with anything you want, but in my outfit I went for a casual look of tee+jeans with blazer and cool heeled boots.

MIREIA
So, apparently as Judith is buying them I can't then... Cause we have this rule that we can't buy both of us the same piece... Well, I have to say it will be okay. I do like them, but I was expecting something different, something more like the Vintage Stone Washed Denim, those new denim mom jeans that came out on the new floor of It Girls. So, those ones will be for me.

Agreeing with Judith about the outfit though, you can pair jeans with literally everything. As I'm a little late with my outfit I decided to take advantage of it and used some new pieces from Nelly.com.

MIREIA:

Nice bomber jacket, nice camo pattern, but above all...I love that burgundy shade peeking out from the back part of the jacket! Looks amazing, and lets you add a little burgundy to the outfit that matches and looks amazing.

For my outfit I decided to combine sport with lady, but wanted to add burgundy there and there, so I used the skirt, shoes, choker and even make up! It was hard actually to create an outfit that was good enough for the jacket, I wanted it to look super cool, and at the end is pretty average, but unfortunately I don't have much time :(

JUDITH:
I think the jacket it's nice. It's has a good quality in terms of graphics and as Mireia has said the burgundy inside looks really good, so does the shape, a little bit loosen down the right shoulder. It's not my style at all and I'm not a big fan of camo so I won't be buying it, but it's a good one.

For my outfit I combined it with an all black outfit expect for the bag in which I added a floral pint with also green tones so it wouldn't look out of place. The combination between the two patterns (the camo and the floral) I think looks really good and special and make the outfit stand out.
